Heading Out

Friday, October 1st, 2010

As excited as I have been to head off on our trip to Taiwan and the Philippines, as well as to launch I Care 4 Children , I knew I was going to really miss the family. Mommy gave me big hugs and was truly excited and nervous at the same time. Laya knows daddy will be back in 16 days and that can’t possible be too long because she can count that high.  Henry just hugs dada and laughs his infectious laugh.

So now we are somewhere over China smoothly gliding towards Japan  12.5 hours is a long time for me to be anywhere much less in one seat on one plane.  I can’t get comfortable. Watched 2 in air movies, read, played solitaire and wished i had put more onto my Ipad before I left.

I have not only not really been able to work as I planned, I  have also learned today how addicted I am to being connected. This flight does not have WiFi on it. Soooo no Internet, no phone, no texting,  no Facebook, no fantasy football prep, no Google review or systems review or work or nothing. So I guess I should be ultimately thankful for my iPad that I can type this onto the notes app and consider myself doing something fruitful. I needed to start blogging again anyway.

Now my pards, Dennis is trying somewhat successfully to sleep. He might take offense that I would say that the last 8 hours have not been fruitful. We have counseled, he has taught and I find myself always soaking in wisdom from his 62 years of teaching , preaching and counseling. He ain’t too bad a business person either! We have continued to seek God’s direction for our business and are excited that this trip is pregnant with revelation knowledge and direction. We have developed an new market channel to use in building our personal coaching product to go along with our business coaching launch.

But the forefront of our trip is to spread the Gospel and make disciples of the Nations by ministering to children. We want to work ” here , near and far” to borrow the catch phrase of my new friends at New Charlotte Church.  We have things working near and these next 16 days we will be far…. Gotta go , movie number 3 just came on. james Bond !  More to come..

IgniteCharlotte….

Welcome IgniteCharlotte !!!

Visit our Facebook Fanpage as well as the Ignite National site for more information on this new and exciting networking forum.

You get 5 minutes on stage in a casual environment with friends, old and new, to share your ideas on life and your community. Have a ton of fun, learn and laugh with others who want to be heard as well.  You prepare 20 powerpoint slides that advance automatically while you speak and when your time is up you are done.

I cannot wait for Charlotte to get a hold of this and take IgniteCharlotte into the national spotlight. It takes a crowd so “like” us on Facebook , visit the website and GET INVOLVED.

Have a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend. My thanks and thoughts go to all of the men and women (and their families) who have served in our Armed Forces so that we can live the life we do !

In the beginning ….

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

In the beginning, the earth was formless and void. Kind of like this blog page. It’s blue and it has my name on it. Cool. What now? I think I went with blue because its the same blue as Blueagle Marketing.Com and its blog.  I know the both of you are familiar with that one.

I’m gonna add the eagle logo because I think it looks good. Besides, that’s what all the branding people say to do. Make your emails, twitter names, facebook names, buzz names ( on and on)  the same so that you can gain a crowd and be recognizable. Ok , I can follow directions. Sorta , sometimes, I try anyway.

I have just started blogging for Blueagle and its fun. That blog is more for business stuff. This blog is more about me… and you. I have had some pretty cool things happen in my life, and I have had a few cruddy things happen too. Most of the cruddy ones were my own doing. Most of the good ones were somebody else’s fault.

Anyway, read about me in the “About” part. I am a dad, a foster dad, a husband, a business owner and   a Jesus lover.  ( Actually I guess I am a son too and an uncle and some other things but you get the idea.) I want to write because I think maybe some of my adventures might help some folks. Maybe as I set up this blog, you might start one too. You can watch me muddle through  mine first.

I am going to try to write 3 times a week but definitely 2. I am thinking that my topics will be like… ” Fagan On Foster Parenting”  or ” Fagan On Faith”  or  ”Fagan On Fatherhood ( Leadership ) ” . As my new business grows, I want to write  ” Fagan On Finances” too, but right now that would read more like a how “not to” so we will wait on that one.

I hope you join me, we can talk…21st century style…..
